Amateurs' Registration Form

The First International Amateur Cello Festival is devoted to lovers of the cello, and all who play purely for pleasure – former professionals, retirees, and others. It will be held in conjunction with the 11th International Cello Congress in Israel.

In addition to being able to watch the students’ lessons and masterclasses, the amateurs can have their own lessons and masterclasses – with some of the very same teachers!

The masterclasses are open to all participants. Individual lessons are optional, and may be either open or closed. In addition, there will be recitals, orchestral concerts, lectures, symposia, films and exhibitions – all included in the participants’ fee.

Meet some of the world’s foremost cello teachers! Participate in one of the cello ensembles, or come with your own group, and be coached by some of the finest chamber music teachers.

This will be a combined event, such as has never taken place anywhere. It is the first time that amateur cellists are being invited to take an active part in a professional cello congress.

The First International Amateur Cello Festival is intended for those who play for pleasure – particularly for those who want to improve their playing. So whether you are just an ordinary cello enthusiast, a former professional, a retiree, a has-been or a would-be – if you play the cello mainly for pleasure, or just want to listen, then the First International Amateur Cello Festival, held in conjunction with the Eleventh Annual International Cello Congress in Israel, is for you.

Cost per individual including lessons, coaching, concerts, recitals, bus tours, refreshments, and much more, is NIS 3,000 which is approximately $750. Accompanying persons - $250.
