The Israel Cello Society continues the tradition of an Annual International Cello Seminar and Spring Festival on Passover, April 12-17, 2009, under the direction of Dr. DuDu Sella.
This year the seminar and festival will be held in Jerusalem, with the cooperation of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
The event will include open lessons, master classes, lectures and concerts.
The Spring Festival will include an orchestral concert, performed by the Haifa Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mandy Rodan, cello recitals, a celli ensemble and chamber music concerts.
This year, an international amateur cellist congress will be held under the direction of Ari Kernerman, coinciding with the activities mentioned. The amateur cellist congress is intended for cello enthusiasts, former professionals, retirees, has-been's and would-be's. Participants will be able to take part in all congress activities, and in addition will receive lessons from the congress faculty.
